Nature and environmental impact
Climate changes affect the foundation of our nature and environmental assessments and therefore also the project or programme which is to be impact assessed. The climate changes transform the baseline of a nature and environmental evaluation into a dynamic element which authorities, businesses, experts or citizens should commit themselves to regularly.
We take the climate changes into account in our consultancy related to nature restoration, land use and the protection of ground water.
We evaluate the climate change impact on species and nature types and we consult on proactive solutions and planning, including the implementation of preventive and protective measures.
Through many years Ramboll has prepared environmental assessments on a long list of project types, e.g. industrial businesses, infrastructure, recovery of raw materials and plants for the oil and gas industry. We use our versatile competences and holistic, long-term perspective when we consult on climate changes.
Water supply and waste water
The safe handling of rain and waste water is essential to public health and is an important factor for reducing the number of waterborne diseases. At Ramboll, we help our customers quantify the financial consequences of climate change and then find new solutions in response. We use MOUSE and MIKE Urban-calculations for planning, and MIKE FLOOD for modelling ground flooding to give our customers a summary view of the consequences of heavy rain in the coming years.
